Our Beliefs

  • He is Father, Son and Holy Spirit. He is love. (Genesis 1:1, Isaiah 40:28, Hebrews 11:3, Psalms 95:5, 1 John 4:8).

  • Without God’s grace, the sin and selfishness only progresses. (Genesis 3; 6:5, Romans 1:25; 5:12).

  • Salvation is only found in Jesus Christ. Jesus came to save us from our sin. (Ephesians 2:8, Acts 4:12, Isaiah 12:2, Psalms 51:12, Matthew 1:21.

  • Only God can make us holy; and restore us to the “image” we were created in. (Genesis 1:26, 2 Thessalonian's 5:23 – 24, 2 Corinthians 7:1, Matthew 5:48).

  • We accomplish this through our lives and our lips. (Matthew 4:19, Genesis 1:28, Acts 1:8).

  • To lead every person in our world to the transforming, life-giving power and love of God. To teach them everything Christ taught us. (Matthew 29: 18-20, Ephesians 4:13, Hebrews 12:2).

  • (Isaiah 40:8, 2 Timothy 3: 16-17, John 1:1).

  • Jesus exemplified this. “I did not come to be served, but to serve.” (Matthew 20:28, John 15:12, 1 John 4: 7-8).

  • There is nothing impossible with God. (1 Thessalonians 5:17, Luke 5:16, Matthew 6:6, Jeremiah 29:12).

  • By the Power of God’s grace, you can live the life you were created to live. You can accomplish what you were created to accomplish. You can be and do what seems impossible. (Philippians 4:13, Joshua 1:7, Genesis 18:14).

Why are beliefs important?

Beliefs play a fundamental role in a Christian church as they shape the foundation of its teachings and guide the actions of its members. Here are some key reasons why beliefs are important:

  1. Faith and Salvation: Christian beliefs are centered around the life, teachings, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. These beliefs form the basis of faith and salvation, emphasizing the importance of a personal relationship with God through Jesus. They provide hope, comfort, and assurance of eternal life.

  2. Worship and Communion: Christian beliefs inform the way believers worship and commune with God. They shape the practices of prayer, singing hymns, partaking in sacraments like baptism and the Eucharist (Holy Communion), and engaging in corporate worship as a community.

  3. Moral Guidance: Christian beliefs provide moral guidance by defining what is right and wrong according to the teachings of Jesus and biblical principles. They guide individuals and the church community in making ethical decisions, promoting virtues such as love, compassion, forgiveness, and justice.

  4. Community and Fellowship: Shared beliefs create a sense of community and fellowship among Christians. Believers come together to worship, study the Bible, support one another, and live out their faith. The shared beliefs provide a common ground that fosters unity and a sense of belonging.

  5. Mission and Outreach: Christian beliefs inspire believers to share the good news of Jesus Christ with others. The belief in Jesus' command to spread the gospel motivates Christians to engage in missions, evangelism, and social outreach to positively impact their communities and the world.

Overall, beliefs are vital in a Christian church as they shape the core identity, practices, and mission of the community, enabling individuals to deepen their faith, grow spiritually, and live out the teachings of Jesus Christ.
